Emili Rubió Lorenzo, Manager of the Barcelona Municipal Institute for Innovation and Technology of the Barcelona City Council since October 9, 2023.

He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Barcelona, and his career has been linked from the outset to information technologies (IT), beginning in professional services firms, where he worked on IT implementation projects and, later, on IT strategy and architecture projects.

From 2004 onwards, he worked at the Institute as Director of the Strategic Plan for Information Technologies of the Barcelona City Council, and subsequently held, for nearly eight years, the position of Director of Citizen Information and Service.

He later joined the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), first as Director of Technology and later as Vice Manager of Digital Transformation.
