Carolina Franco Espinosa is a pioneering expert in High Performance Computing (HPC) and digital inclusion. She founded the Mesoamerican HPC Programme and co-founded LARCAD, leveraging major international collaborations—including the largest CERN IT donation—to expand science, climate, and STEAM research across Mexico, Panama, and El Salvador.
A committed educator and advocate for women in STEM, she also leads national efforts through REDMEXSU, RED ATO, and UNESCO’s Mesoamerican Centre for Theoretical Physics, while teaching and inspiring future tech leaders at the Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas.
