Kerry Joseph has worked for 8 years in the Innovation & Technology (I&T) department for the City of South Bend. He started as a developer on I&T’s Applications team eventually taking over as the Director.

After a brief stint at a private gov-tech consulting firm he returned to the City to lead I&T’s Digital efforts as its first Chief Digital Officer at the beginning of 2024. As CDO he oversees low-code, web solutions, system integrations, ETL, and custom solutions including City’s AI efforts (Internal Department Chatbot [Ida], AI Translations tools, and an AI assisted Knowledge article writing tool).

He is currently engrossed content consolidation project with an end goal of allowing residents to login to the city website to get content specific to thier needs.
