Lea Eriksen is the Senior Assistant City Manager for the City of Culver City, serving as the City Manager’s principal deputy and COO, proving executive leadership across major Citywide initiatives and overseeing Culver City’s Innovation & Infrastructure portfolio. Lea has over 25 years of professional local government experience in budgeting, finance, technology and project management.
Previously as Director of Technology and Innovation / CIO for the City of Long Beach, she designed and led the execution of the City’s technology vision, developed a staff of 208 FTE and managed a $90 million operating budget and as the Assistant Finance Director, Lea led the development of the City’s $2.6 billion budget.
Earlier she rose through the ranks at the City of Cincinnati, and as the Budget Director, she led the development of that City’s $1.4 billion budget and coordinated several interdepartmental committees.
Lea graduated cum laude from Miami University and has an MBA from Xavier University. She also has extensive experience serving on non-profit boards and committees, including the Long Beach Transit Board, Southern California Society of Information Management (SCSIM) Board of Advisors and Innovate@UCLA Board of Directors.
She has received honors including the SoCal CIO Orbie Award – Large Enterprise, Business Courier’s Class of Forty Under 40, YWCA Academy of Career Women of Achievement Rising Star and the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) Cincinnati Chapter Early Careerist Award.
